Reproductive Freedom

A person's health care decisions belong to them and should be made with the advice of their doctor. Massachusetts has been a refuge as rights have been stripped away elsewhere, but that status will only last as the people are willing to defend it.

As your State Representative, I will:

  • Protect and fight to expand access to abortion, contraception, and IVF.

  • Oppose any new restrictions on abortion or government interference in reproductive health care.

  • Protect funding for Planned Parenthood and oppose public funding for anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers.

  • Support comprehensive, medically accurate sex education through the Healthy Youth Act.

  • Fight for maternal health care, especially as labor and delivery services are disappearing in some communities.

LGBTQ+ Equality

Everyone deserves to live safely and be cared for as who they are. In a moment when other states are legislating people out of public life, Massachusetts should be unmistakable about where it stands.

As your State Representative, I will:

  • Protect access to gender-affirming care.

  • Defend and strengthen LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination protections in health care, housing, education, and employment.

  • Support school policies and resources that keep LGBTQ+ young people safe.

Immigrant Communities

Immigration isn't just a national and global issue – it's a local one, too. Immigrant families are our neighbors, our coworkers, and our kids' classmates, and fear doesn't make any community safer. For the last five years, I've worked on Afghan relocation efforts, helping Afghan allies who risked everything alongside American service members navigate a system that is broken, confusing, and complicated. I'll bring that same persistence to fighting for every family in our district.

As your State Representative, I will:

  • Support the PROTECT Act and limits on immigration enforcement activity at sensitive locations like schools, hospitals, courthouses, and places of worship.

  • Support refugee resettlement and the services that help new arrivals become established, working members of our communities.

  • Continue advocating for Afghan allies and the promises this country made to them.

Voting Rights

Democracy works when it's easy to participate and hard to cheat and Massachusetts has shown you can have both.

As your State Representative, I will:

  • Defend and expand same-day registration, automatic registration, early voting, and vote-by-mail.

  • Support the funding and training local clerks need to run elections well.

  • Oppose efforts to make voting harder for seniors, students, overseas military personnel and working people.

Gun Safety & Question 9

As a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Everytown’s Veteran’s Advisory Council, I take firearms and gun safety laws seriously. In the military, weapons training is extensive and safety regulations are strong for a reason. Massachusetts has among the lowest gun death rates in the country, and that is not an accident – it's the product of laws we chose and maintain.

As your State Representative, I will:

  • Support keeping the Commonwealth's 2024 firearm safety law in place and oppose efforts to repeal or weaken it.

  • Defend Massachusetts' existing gun safety laws, including secure storage, licensing, red flag protections, and ghost gun tracking.

  • Continue working with veterans on firearm suicide prevention and safe storage.

On the ballot this November: Question 9 is a veto referendum on the 2024 firearms law (Chapter 135 of the Acts of 2024). A YES vote keeps the law. A NO vote repeals it.
