Veterans' Health Care & Benefits

As a U.S. Army veteran, I believe Massachusetts has a responsibility to ensure that veterans and their families can access the health care and benefits they earned through their service. Benefits that exist on paper but can't be reached in practice are not benefits.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Support fully funding veterans' services across the Commonwealth.

• Strengthen the network of local Veterans Service Officers, the people who actually get veterans connected to what they've earned.

• Make it easier for veterans to navigate state and federal health care programs, including the Chapter 115 program that provides medical care and basic-needs assistance to eligible veterans and dependents.

• Advocate for the Massachusetts Veterans Homes and for policies that address behavioral health, disability-related care, and the needs of aging veterans.

When I worked in veterans' services for Congressman Bill Keating, it was my job to help people navigate those complex systems. I worked alongside VSOs to make sure veterans got every bit of the assistance and support they'd earned. I know where those systems break, and promise to work to fix them.

Military Families & Allies

Keeping promises to the people who choose public service has been the through-line of my career — from the State Department's relocation efforts to nonprofit work. 

That work doesn't end at a state line.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Support military families and the services they rely on across the Commonwealth.

• Continue advocating for Afghan allies resettling in Massachusetts and the community organizations supporting them.

• Bring the same standard to Beacon Hill that I learned in uniform: you finish what you start, and never leave anyone behind.
