Drinking Water & Water Infrastructure

Safe, reliable drinking water is a basic public responsibility, not a local luxury that depends on whether a town can pass an override. Our pipes are old, our costs are rising, and emergencies are more expensive than maintenance every single time.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Fight for state investment to modernize water systems and replace aging pipes before failures become emergencies.

• Help municipalities access state and federal funding for critical repairs and treatment upgrades.

• Push for planning support so small water departments aren't left managing multimillion-dollar problems alone.

The recent water main breaks and town-wide shutoffs across the district made the stakes obvious. We need to act now or face bigger issues by kicking the problem down the road. 

PFAS

"Forever chemicals" in drinking water are a public health problem the state helped create and cannot leave to local communities to solve. Treatment is expensive, and the cost of doing nothing is paid for in people's health.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Fight for state funding and technical assistance so communities can meet water quality standards without putting the entire burden on local taxpayers.

• Support restrictions on PFAS in consumer products and support protections for individuals exposed on the job.

• Support continued testing, monitoring, and remediation across the South Shore.

Lakes, Ponds & Beaches

Our lakes, ponds, rivers, and beaches are part of what makes this district so special — and they are also an economic engine for local businesses and a reason families move here and stay.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Fight for state funding to protect and improve water quality in our lakes, ponds, and coastal waters.

• Support conservation, habitat restoration, and efforts to address cyanobacteria and nutrient pollution.

• Protect public access AND local ecosystems, so these resources stay usable for the residents who pay to protect them.

Climate & Coastal Resilience

As coastal communities, Duxbury and Marshfield will feel climate change harder and faster than most of Massachusetts. Coastal erosion, flooding, and storm damage are not a future problem – they are a line item in the next town budget.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Fight for climate resilience funding for seawalls, dunes, culverts, and stormwater systems in our coastal communities.

• Support environmental justice and climate adaptation funding that reaches our towns, not just large cities.

• Support long-term planning and investment so we're paying for prevention instead of disaster recovery.

Clean Energy

Clean energy is the cheapest path to lower bills over the long run, and the jobs that come with it should be good union jobs available to those in our community.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Support offshore wind, solar, battery storage, and energy efficiency programs.

• Support EV charging infrastructure and transit electrification.

• Insist that clean energy buildout comes with prevailing wage and Project Labor Agreements.

Conservation & Public Access (Powder Point Bridge and Duxbury Beach)

Protecting wildlife and welcoming people to the coast are not opposing goals. We can follow the science and still make sure residents can get to the beach they pay to maintain and that their families have enjoyed for generations.

As your State Representative, I will:

• Support science-based conservation of protected species and habitat.

• Work with towns, beach managers, and state agencies to find management approaches that protect wildlife while preserving reasonable public access and the local economies that depend on it.
