Jessica Bradley Rushing is running to represent the towns of the 6th Plymouth District —Duxbury, Halifax (precinct 2), Hanson (precincts 2 & 3), Marshfield (precincts 2A & 4) & Pembroke (all precincts except 3A) — in the Massachusetts State Legislature.
Jessica works as the Chief of Staff at AfghanEvac, a nonprofit dedicated to keeping the promise the United States made to its Afghan allies. She previously served as Deputy Director for Communications and Engagement in the U.S. State Department’s Office of the Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts (CARE) and worked on veterans and immigration issues in the office of Congressman Bill Keating (MA-09).
Jessica served on the Pembroke Select Board from 2019 to 2022, including as Chair in her final year, and previously chaired the Pembroke Democratic Town Committee. A 2019 graduate of Emerge Massachusetts, she serves as Secretary on their Board of Directors. Jessica is also a member of the Truman National Security Project Defense Council and served on Everytown’s Veterans Advisory Council.
An Army veteran and mother of four, Jessica holds a BS in Communication from Boston University and an MA in Public Leadership from the University of San Francisco.
I grew up in Pembroke, dedicated my life to public service, and moved back to raise my kids in the place I call home. Our district deserves a proven leader who serves every resident and works effectively on Beacon Hill to bring resources and representation back to our towns.
