Hi everyone, this is Jessica Bradley-Rushing and I am coming in here today to address reports that I've seen, and I'm sure many of you have seen, about a massive uptick in ice activity on the South Shore and South Coast, particularly in communities like New Bedford and Fall River, but not limited to just those communities. This is something that I strongly oppose and strongly condemn. We do not need to have federal law enforcement agencies terrorizing our neighborhoods and snatching innocent people up off the streets. My opponent has filed legislation in the statehouse that would enable and allow local law enforcement to cooperate with ice. This is something I also strongly oppose. This is not something that most people want, and as your state legislator, I would never support such a thing. My thoughts are with everybody in those communities that are being terrorized right now, and I hope that we see a quick end to this activity.
