In its entire history, the 6th Plymouth District has never been represented in the state legislature by a woman. If I win, I will be the first woman to represent the towns of Duxbury, Marshfield, Pembroke, Hanson, and Halifax on Beacon Hill. In our entire state's history, only 243 women have ever served in the state legislature out of more than 20,000 elected legislators. I think it's well past time that we moved toward a little bit more parity there. I would be so honored to have the privilege of being the first woman to represent this district, and I hope I can earn your vote.
